Welcome! We’re The Zab Twins, or as most of our friends and family know us as - Arek and Brian. As two passionate Millennial entrepreneurs and accredited investors, our mission is to inspire the next generation of Millennials to realize their full potential in the entrepreneurial world. We know of many young and motivated students that are eager to start a business once they’re out of high school, but they just don’t know where to start. That’s okay, we were those students once too.
At an early age, our parents were the first of our families to ever leave home and start a new life in another country. Through this process, they taught us to value work ethic, authenticity, and to follow our dreams. Leaving post-secondary, we both decided to attend college and study business. Entering college at BCIT (British Columbia Institute of Technology), it was clear that the typical desk job wasn’t what we were going for. We were going for the practical experience on how to run your own business.
Immediately out of college we were hired by an international recruitment firm valued at over $12 billion dollars. We quickly became top performers for the company earning well over six figures consistently, while developing an amazing skillset, an amazing network and the capital needed to pursue our dreams of becoming business owners. By this point, we were young and ambitious individuals with clear goals in mind on where we were headed.
We’re firm believers in order to be successful, goal setting is easily one of the most crucial parts in any area of your life. Initially, we set out with the goal to be self-employed 10 years down the road from starting our corporate job. Although, there was an additional risk to leaving a stable and secure job, we knew that starting our own business was the long-term path meant for us. Just three and a half years later, we found ourselves leaving a great organization to pursue the unknown of becoming full-time business owners.
Although, it wasn’t completely unknown… While we were at the recruitment firm, we started our business on the side which provided us with an additional stream of income. As the sales volume on the side business started to increase, we quickly approached the crossroads where a decision needed to be made. Do we stay with our corporate job while only giving half the effort to our side hustle? Or, do we continue to be ambitious and follow our dreams? The answer was obvious to us, and it should be to you too!
The side business that we started while we were at our corporate job was an Amazon business. The operating model we follow is called Amazon FBA or Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA). We are basically a private third-party seller where we team up with manufactures around the world to help solve everyday problems for consumers. Once we fully understood the concept of the FBA program, the sales process and the effort needed to succeed selling on Amazon, we found ourselves coaching over 100 different small Amazon businesses through the entire process from initial product discovery to the end sale. During just our first year we recorded half a million dollars in sales from just one product and we’re on pace for $1 million dollars in sales in 2021! This is where we saw the opportunity to help educate the next generation of entrepreneurs who are interested in living a more fulfilling life.
We believe in the power of hard work, dedication and realizing any goal you set out to achieve. We didn’t start with the coolest material items as kids. We didn’t have the most money; but we always had the most passion. Our goal is to take young and driven people with an entrepreneurial mindset through our journey that has delivered proven results. We know from first-hand experience that being able to enjoy your job remotely, while providing yourself the financial independence and freedom to live a healthy and prosperous lifestyle is an unbeatable feeling.
